Brandon picked up the violin in ’99, and the guitar a year later. He went to college to study Music Theory, Composition, and Philosophy. and began writing all sorts of original music for things like a string quartet or chamber orchestra. After experimenting for several years, he found himself drawn to that “three chords and the truth” that’s a little easier to find in folkier traditions. Wandering his way through the bluegrass world, into the music of John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, and Townes van Zandt, he found himself hooked on figuring out the art & craft of songwriting. Brandon will be releasing his second album in 2024.
